Types of information collected

Due to the registration to the Platform Prontopia shall collect the following personal data: Surname, Name, Sex; Date of birth; Place of birth (municipality and province if in Italy, state if born abroad); Nationality; Type of identity document; Number of identity document; Place of document’s issue (municipality and province if in Italy, state if issued abroad); number and type of mobile phone, e-mail and payment details.

Prontopia shall also collect data on personal knowledge or experience, even regarding the job, directly connected to the services of Prontopia’s Platform.

Prontopia shall also collect data regarding criminal investigations or former criminal convictions.
When the App is operating, Prontopia shall collect data of the transfer within the city of Customer and Providers.

All data are collected for the following purposes.

Purposes of data processing

The personal data collected are processed for the following purposes:

  • Providing the services requested;
  • Performing tax or accounting requirements;
  • Prontopia reserves the right to request permission to use Users’ personal data in order to send direct marketing messages and communications on Prontopia’s services and products.

Legal basis for processing

The data collected for the purposes stated under points A) and B) permit Prontopia to provide the service requested. Refusal to provide such data will make it impossible for Prontopia to provide the service requested.

Personal data collected under points C) shall be processed by Prontopia on the basis of a freely-given consent.

Data storage

Users’ personal data will be kept in a form that permits personal identification for a period of time strictly necessary to enable Prontopia to pursue the purposes for which they were collected but in any case for no longer than five (5) years, as required by public security regulations.

The period of storage may, however, be extended up to ten (10) years or even a longer period if required by Italian law on matters concerning tax data or the settlement of judicial disputes.

In case of non-use of the service for a consecutive period of twelve (12) months, all personal data will be deleted, excluding the name, surname and email address

At the conclusion of the storage period the data will be anonymize in order to analyse trends and behaviours on an aggregate base.

Communicating data

Personal data may be disclosed to:

  • Any Prontopia worker who provides services for the purposes indicated under the foregoing points;
  • Subjects who process data in compliance with specific statutory obligations;
  • Judicial or administrative authorities, whenever this may be necessary to comply with legal or statutory requirements or obligations descending from the application of current laws, a court order or a writ of summons.
  • Third companies and service providers who operate on Prontopia’s behalf for purposes closely related to the performance of the services requested by Users.

Profiling and disclosing data

Personal data can be processed using both paper-based and IT procedures (including portable devices) and handled in ways strictly necessary to meet the foregoing purposes.

With the exceptions indicated in the preceding paragraphs, Prontopia will treat Users’ data with the maximum confidentiality.

In order to ensure an exclusive service, as far as possible tailored to a User’s specific requirements, Prontopia may perform profiling activities, with reference, for example, to preceding use of the Platform.

The data subject’s rights

For all legal purposes, the User will always be able to refer to the foregoing address to exercise his or her rights, including the right to:

  • request Prontopia to give him/her access to personal data and information upon him/her; the rectification of inexact data or the supplementing of incomplete data; the erasure of personal data (in the event that one of the conditions indicated under article 17, paragraph 1, of the GDPR applies, and pursuant to the exceptions provided for under paragraph 3 of this article); limiting the processing of personal data (commencing from one of the circumstances indicated under article 18, paragraph 1 of the GDPR);
  • request and obtain his or her personal data from Prontopia in a structured format, legible by an automated device, and also for the purpose of communicating such data to another data controller (the so-called right to personal data portability);
  • oppose the processing of personal data at any time when particular situations occur regarding the User; revoke the consent at any time, limited to the cases in which the processing is based on consent for one or more specific purposes regarding common personal data (e.g. date and place of birth or place of residence), or special categories of data (e.g. data that reveal a racial origin, political opinions, religious convictions, state of health or sexual life). The treatment based on consent and carried out prior to the revocation of the same preserves, however, its lawfulness;

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that we gather when you are accessing or using our Services, but not to the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people that we don’t manage. We gather various types of Personal Information from our users, as explained in more detail below, and we use this Personal Information internally in connection with our Services, including to personalize, provide, and improve our services, to allow you to set up a user account and profile, to contact you and allow other users to contact you, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, and to analyze how you use the Services. In certain cases, we may also share some Personal Information with third parties, but only as described below.

Will Prontopia ever change this Privacy Policy?

We’re constantly trying to improve our Services, so we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time as well, but we will alert you to changes by placing a notice on website, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive legal notice emails from us (or you haven’t provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. What Information does Prontopia Collect?

Information You Provide to Us:

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, through the registration process and/or through your account settings, we may collect Personal Information such as your name, email address, phone number, and third-party account credentials (for example, your log-in credentials for Facebook, Google or other third party sites). If you provide your third-party account credentials to us or otherwise sign in to the Services through a third party site or service, you understand some content and/or information in those accounts (“Third Party Account Information”) may be transmitted into your account with us if you authorize such transmissions, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted to our Services is covered by this Privacy Policy. Certain information may be required to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.

We may communicate with you if you’ve provided us the means to do so. For example, if you’ve given us your email address, we may send you promotional email offers on behalf of other businesses, or email you about your use of the Services. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make our communications with you more interesting and improve our services. Information Collected Automatically

Whenever you interact with our Services, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include your IP address, geolocation data, device identification, “cookie” information, the type of browser and/or device you’re using to access our Services, and the page or feature you requested. “Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your browser or device that allow us to recognize your browser or device and tell us how and when pages and features in our Services are visited and by how many people. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or device to prevent or limit your device’s acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of our features.

Our advertising partners may also transmit cookies to your browser or device, when you click on ads that appear on the Services. Also, if you click on a link to a third party website or service, a third party may also transmit cookies to you. Again, this Privacy Policy does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties, and we aren’t responsible for their privacy policies and practices. We may use this data to customize content for you that we think you might like, based on your usage patterns. We may also use it to improve the Services – for example, this data can tell us how often users use a particular feature of the Services, and we can use that knowledge to make the Services interesting to as many users as possible.

Information Collected From Other Websites and Do Not Track Policy

Through cookies we place on your browser or device, we may collect information about your online activity after you leave our Services. Just like any other usage information we collect, this information allows us to improve the Services and customize your online experience, and otherwise as described in this Privacy Policy. Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and web applications and services (including behavioral advertising services) that you do not wish such operators to track certain of your online activities over time and across different websites. When you turn on the Do Not Track function in your browser, we stop collecting the information from your browser that allows us to tailor advertisements and other content specifically to you that is based on your visits to our advertising partners’ websites. Specifically, we stop collecting information from the unique browser cookie that links your browser to visits to third party sites. Do Not Track signals are set on a browser-by-browser basis, so you must set them on every browser you use if you do not wish to be tracked. Remember that this is just our Do Not Track policy, and we can’t and don’t make any promises about how third parties react when you set this signal on your browser.

Location Information for Google and All Other App Stores

For the Prontopia Local Assistant's App Users Only regarding “Location Information” : To participate as a Prontopia Local Assistant, you must permit the Prontopia Local Assistants Services to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system (“Platform”) or browser. We may collect the precise location of your device when the Prontopia Local Assistants app is running in the foreground or background of your device. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP address. We use your location information to verify that you are present in your preferred region or city when you begin or engage in a task through the Prontopia Services (a “Task”), connect you with task opportunities in your zone, and track the progress and completion of your Tasks. You can enable the location tracking feature through the settings on your device or Platform or when prompted by the Prontopia Locals Assistants mobile app. If you choose to disable the location feature through the settings on your device or Platform, Prontopia will not receive precise location information from your device, which will prevent you from being able to accept and complete task opportunities in your area.

Will Prontopia Share Any of the Personal Information it Receives?

We do not rent or sell your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone. We may share your Personal Information with third parties as described in this section:

Providers. We may share certain personal information, including your name, location, and contact information, with a Provider to enable them to provide the Services you request.

Information that’s been de-identified. We may de-identify your Personal Information so that you are not identified as an individual, and provide that information to our partners. We may also provide aggregate usage information to our partners (or allow partners to collect that information from you), who may use such information to understand how often and in what ways people use our Services, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal online experience. However, we never disclose aggregate usage or de-identified information to a partner (or allow a partner to collect such information) in a manner that would identify you as an individual person.

Affiliated Businesses: In certain situations, businesses or third party websites we’re affiliated with may sell or provide products or services to you through or in connection with the Services (either alone or jointly with us). You can recognize when an affiliated business is associated with such a transaction or service, and we will share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is related to such transaction or service. One such service may include the ability for you to automatically transmit Third Party Account Information to your Services profile or to automatically transmit information in your Services profile to your third party account; for example, Facebook or Google+. We have no control over the policies and practices of third party websites or businesses as to privacy or anything else, so if you choose to take part in any transaction or service relating to an affiliated website or business, please review all such business’ or websites’ policies.

Agents: We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you; for example, we may use a payment processing company to receive and process your credit card transactions for us. Unless we tell you differently, our agents do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. Note that an “agent” may also be considered a “partner” in certain circumstances, and would be subject to the terms of the “Information that’s been de-identified” section in that regard. We currently use the following third party services, and by using our Services, you agree to be bound by the applicable privacy policies for such third party services:

Google Analytics; Stripe, Inc.; User Profiles and Submissions: Certain user profile information, including your name, location, and any video or image content that such user has uploaded to the Services, may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within the Services or address your request for our services. Please remember that any content you upload to your public user profile, along with any Personal Information or content that you voluntarily disclose online in a manner other users can view (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, etc.) becomes publicly available, and can be collected and used by anyone. Your user name may also be displayed to other users if and when you send messages or comments or upload images or videos through the Services and other users can contact you through messages and comments. Additionally, if you sign into the Services through a third party social networking site or service, your list of “friends” from that site or service may be automatically imported to the Services, and such “friends,” if they are also registered users of the Services, may be able to access certain non-public information you have entered in your Services user profile. Again, we do not control the policies and practices of any other third party site or service.

Business Transfers: We may choose to buy or sell assets, and may share and/or transfer customer information in connection with the evaluation of and entry into such transactions. Also, if we (or our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

Protection of Prontopia and Others: We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we believe is necessary to comply with law or court order; enforce or apply our Terms of Use (, and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Prontopia, our employees, our users, or others.

Is Personal Information about me secure?

Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. If you access your account via a third party site or service, you may have additional or different sign-on protections via that third party site or service. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

What Personal Information can I access?

Through your account settings, you may access, and, in some cases, edit or delete the following information you’ve provided to us:

You may be able to add, update, or delete information as explained above. When you update information, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records. We may use any aggregated data derived from or incorporating your Personal Information after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.
